Land Rig
This rig is designed to operate on shore in land. Classification of this ones are based on their size in drilling, measured by how deep this rig can drill. Light rig can drill up to 5000 feet, medium rig can do up to 10.000 feet, heavy rig can do up to 16.000 feet and very heavy one can do up to 30000 feet. Usually, single rig can drill up to 3 shallow well in a month. Deep well can be done in 3-4 months. Many gas well lately are drilled in depth 6000-12.000 feet. There are 2 kinds of land rig : Rotary land rig and cable tool rotarying rig in which virtually have changed conventional rig. Rotary rig use rotating bit in cutting rocks depth in the earth. Bit is attached and released as the rock hardness change. Rotary rig usually known by oil drilling tower in supporting rig in doing its main function. Cable tool rig use wire in supporting cable and bit, then knock hole in ground in purpose to drill hole deeper.

Barge Rig
Barge rig is rig with flat platform, usually is ship made for shallow drilling area such as river, shallow marine, or canal. This rig move by supporting of other ship. Barge rig usually used in small scale drilling. Dimension of this one is 59.4 x 10.6 meter with weight cargo capacity is about 1500 tons.
Barge can have many parts like liquid cargo barge. This part act like transport tool in transporting liquid like petrochemical supply : styrene, benzene, methane, and etc then these liquid are transformed into gasoline, jet fuel, diesel and etc. Liquid cargo barge can be used also in transporting usual cargo from producer to consumer. Barge rig is used in near distance use. This rig has economic value when is used in
offshore shallow exploration. Because of low mobility, exploration location target have to be determined precisely before drilling.
